Utilizing 3D-NAND, the ST170-25 series allows capacities of up to 960GB and more power efficiency than 2D NAND in a standard 2.5-inch form factor. Regarding reliability, it is implemented with LDPC (Low Density Parity Check) ECC engine to extend both SSD endurance to up to 3,6 DWPD (drive writes per day) at 960GB and data reliability while reading raw data inside a chip. The burst speed for read and write processes is 600MB/s, for sequential read and write it reaches up to 515MB/s and 485MB/s respectively. In addition, the drive comes with various flash management functions, including power saving modes, S.M.A.R.T., wear leveling, flash block management, TRIM and power failure management.
A wide operating temperature range of 0°C to 70°C makes the SSDs also suitable for applications in demanding environments.
