The energy storage devices are installed in aluminum housings for better mechanical integrity and cooling and have a laser-welded internal structure that ensures their high reliability. In order to achieve 18 V / 500 F in the same housing size as comparable products, the XLR-LV supercapacitors are now available with 3 V cell technology.
They can be used as the sole energy store, but also in combination with batteries to reduce costs and optimize service life and operating time. The capacitors can withstand surge voltages of up to 105% of the maximum operating voltage, have a capacitance tolerance of -5% to +20% and boast four industry-leading best values:
- Minimal ESR (1.7 mOhm)
- Extremely low standby current (max. 8 mA)
- Protection class IP65
- Maximum shock and vibration resistance (SAE J2464 & J2380)
Benefits at a glance:
- Long service life of up to 20 years
- Wide temperature range from -40°C to +65°C
- High reliability
- Low operating costs
- Maintenance-free
- RoHS compliant
- UL810a certified
Application examples:
- Automated warehousing
- Main drive power supply for AGV vehicles (rechargeable in 20 seconds)
- H2 fuel cells for power ramps management
- Backup for industrial machinery
