To provide enhanced protection against possible damage caused by back-EMF and thus ensure safe and reliable operation, the RACPRO1 power supplies have a back-EMF strength of more than 35 V at 24 V.
The power supplies also do not require any additional cooling components, as they achieve the high output power solely through convection cooling. In addition, the power supplies of the RACPRO1 family impress with their continuous overload capacity, which allows them to deliver a 150 % increase in power for up to five seconds to handle high loads such as system starts. These features save both space and costs.
They enable a high packing density with an especially slim design of just 43 mm, 52 mm or 80 mm and an extremely high efficiency of up to 96.9 %. The low power dissipation achieves an exceptional lifespan of over 80,000 hours. The service life of the capacitors is significantly extended due to improvements in design and material selection. This makes it possible to perform qualification tests of 1,000 hours at 85 °C and a relative humidity of 85% at nominal voltage, or up to 2,000 hours at operating temperatures of up to 125 °C or 150 °C in an endurance test.
