Rutronik is also extremely satisfied with the new partnership: “We are one of the market leaders among distributors when it comes to ultralow-power wireless solutions. Up to now, however, these have all required at least a button cell for power. By adding EnOcean’s products to our portfolio, we can now offer our customers wireless technology based on energy harvesting. In addition, EnOcean has earned itself an excellent reputation in the market in recent years. And effective immediately, we are going to expand that reputation together on an international level,” says Kerstin Wagner, Product Sales Manager Wireless, Rutronik.
By joining the EnOcean Alliance, Rutronik is also improving on one of its greatest strengths – providing expert advice from the project idea to the finished product: “It is important for Rutronik not only to have the products on the price list but also to be able to advise our customers with respect to protocol features, the roadmap, and certification processes. That’s why we have to cultivate relationships that are very close to the origins of the EnOcean standard so that we can incorporate the latest information about the protocol into our customers’ actual hardware design processes,” says Wagner.
