According to Mario Klug, Senior Manager Product Marketing at Rutronik, the sharp increase in the number of boards sold in fiscal 2018 can be attributed to the distributor’s foresighted purchasing policy. During the last mainboard generation’s Last Time Buy phase, for example, the company was able to meet demand in contrast to its competitors, despite receiving the same allocation. As a result, Rutronik was able to further increase its already significant share of the total distributor market for Fujitsu boards to around 38 percent, taking the top spot in the process. Fujitsu itself was able to increase its market share in the EMEA motherboard market from 14 to 17.5 percent, thus continuing to rank second among the largest manufacturers. Thorsten Engel, Product Sales Manager Boards at Rutronik, who received the “Best Business Developer 2018” award, played a major role in this success.
„Rutronik Is a Committed and Loyal Partner”
At the award ceremony, Peter Hoser, Director Systemboard OEM Sales and International Business at Fujitsu, said: “Rutronik has been Fujitsu‘s official distributor of industrial mainboards for 14 years now, making the company an extremely important partner on our path to becoming the leading manufacturer of industrial mainboards in the EMEA region. We owe a great deal of our success to Rutronik’s dedicated and loyal backing, which is why we are all the more delighted to recognize the company as both the “Best Mainboard Distributor 2018” and the “Best Business Developer 2018.”
Mario Klug was very happy about receiving the award: “We have worked extremely successfully with Fujitsu for many years and are proud to have contributed to its successful growth.”
Thorsten Engel emphasized: “There are always two sides to every successful business relationship. Our excellent partnership with Fujitsu is what made this achievement possible.”
