2D/3D Sensor
HAL 37xy
The HAX 37xy family is the second sensor generation using Micronas’ proprietary 3D HAL technology, which offers a further improvement of the angular performance. Compared to the first generation, a 30% lower angular error has been achieved. HAC 37xy features integrated capacitors for improved electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and PCB-less applications. It is available in the TO92UF package. HAR 37xy is the dual-die version of the HAL 37xy family. It is available in the same SOIC8 package as of HAL 37xy. Each sensor provides true redundancy as it consists of two independent dies stacked in a single package. The stacked-die architecture ensures that both dies sense the same magnetic field position, thus generating synchronous measurement outputs.
Application:
- Linear movement measurements (EGR, clutch, transmission position)
- Rotary position measurements (gear selector, motor air management)
- Non-contact potentiometer

HAC 39xy in: 2D/3D Sensor
2D/3D Sensor
HAX 39xy is a new generation of 3D position sensors from TDK-Micronas addressing the need for stray-field robust position sensors (linear and angular) as well as the ISO 26262 compliant development. This sensor family consists of various members. All devices can measure a 360° angular range as well as linear movements. HAC 3930 support the option for 3D position detection. The HAC 39xy devices are available in a three-pin leaded TO92UF package. This package integrates up to two capacitors (max. 330 nF) together with the sensor chip. With the integrated capacitors, HAC 39xy meets stringent ESD (system level) and EMC requirements and eliminates the need for a PCB, thus reducing the total system size and cost. The sensors are defined as SEooC (Safety Element out of Context) ASIL B ready according to ISO 26262.
Application:
- Chassis position
- Turbo-charger actuators
- Valve position detection
- EGR
- Shift position
- Steering angle
- Fuel-level measurements
- Clutch position
- Transmission position detection
