Casambi has three different product lines, all based on Nordic Semiconductor's nRF52840 SoC. Casambi has used Nordic Semiconductor for its solutions since it was founded in 2011. The integration of the nRF52840 brings many benefits, including reduced power consumption, increased memory capacity for Flash and RAM, and support for the latest Bluetooth 5 specification. By leveraging these features, the products can achieve extended wireless ranges, enabling Casambi users to explore new lighting applications. This enhancement ensures that the products remain future-proof, as they can accommodate upcoming software features and provide long-range and high-throughput capabilities according to the Bluetooth 5 specification.

The nRF52840 SoC is the most advanced member of the nRF52 series. It meets the challenges of demanding applications that require protocol concurrency and a rich and diverse set of peripherals and features. The nRF52840 SoC is fully multi-protocol capable with full protocol concurrency. It has protocol support for Bluetooth LE, Bluetooth mesh, Thread, Zigbee, 802.15.4, ANT and 2.4 GHz proprietary stacks. It is built around the 32-bit ARM® Cortex™-M4 CPU with floating point unit running at 64 MHz.
