DC/DC Buck for SELV Applications
The ILD6150 driver is a unique step-down buck converter allowing input operation up to the maximum safety electrical low voltage (SELV) of 60 VDC. This digital driver is able to handle a wide range of current up to 1.5 A and works well for one to 18 colored LEDs with little to no change in the number of external components. Efficiencies to 98 percent ensure little power is wasted, while a fast 1 MHZ switching speed minimizes required inductor size. With the integrated MOSFET, this beneficial combination allows easy and simple designs for small form-factor solutions. The ILD6000 series feature an internal (optional) thermal sensor for full integration. As a result, there is no need for an external NTC/PTC device, which saves extra costs.

The ILD6150 switch mode DC-DC LED driver is tailored to drive high power LEDs and LED array, offering flexible dimming options. The ILD6150 is a 60V LED Driver IC for currents up to 1.5A, which means up to 16-18 LED's can be stacked in series. In addition, ILD6150 features integrated advanced thermal protection, and achieves efficiency levels up to 98%. The high efficiency allows to reduce cost on heat sink and spending on LEDs, as more lumen output can be reached, rather than get lost in thermals.

The exponential dimming engine provides automatic gradual brightness change and invisible dimming steps.
XMC1300
XMC1300 can cover LED color control, DC/DC buck, connectivity e.g. DALI and DMX, sensing and additional housekeeping functions:
- Automatic brightness control (using high-frequency pulse density modulation) enables completely flicker-free dimming even at very low dim levels < 0.1%
- Automatic exponential dimming and linear intensity changes make brightness or color changes appear smooth and natural to the human eye
- Automatic color control using BCCU allows for easy transitions in orthogonal color space (e.g. RGB) and automatic timed transitions independent of lamp brightness
